Robby had another great day.....eating, sleeping, pooping and cuddling with Mommy. He continues to grow and just hang out.

Jacob had another rough day. His blood count didn't go as high as they wanted to see, so he got more blood. They had problems with his IV's, so they had to put one in his head to put the blood into him.

They are concerned he might have Necrotizing Enterocolitis...aka NEC. Here is a link about what it is. http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/medical/digestive/nec.html. They sent off blood and urine cultures, that will take a couple of days, but he is showing many of the symptoms. He was put on antibiotics right away, just in case. In the meantime, they have to stop his feeds and just feed him via IV. He'll be on this probably for 10 days. I'm hoping he doesn't lose too much weight. He's worked so hard to gain it.

He's been feeling better since he got his blood.

I was able to get a room in the hospital again tonight so I am close by if something happens.
