Putting The Boys To Work

I decided there is no time like the present for them to start contributing to the family. I applied for them to be models for the 3D Ultra Sound. The companies that make these machines will pay you to come in so they can test them on you. They are totally safe and the views are incredible. I haven't heard back from the company yet, so I don't know if they have been hired.

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

I had a great surprise on Saturday. My parents came over to work on my torn apart main bathroom. (Had a leak that did some major damage). I left for an hour and when I came home, I walked into the nursery to find a brand new crib! They didn't have time to set up the 2nd one and I also got a matching changing table that my mom and I put together, mattresses and some bedding. The set is beautiful and it was such a nice surprise!

I put Baylea in the crib, as suggested in all the reading I do. She sniffed around a little and then freaked out and jumped out, hitting herself against the bathroom vanity that is still in there and then hid under the bed. It's going to be tough getting her used to having to share me, but I'm doing everything the books and Internet suggest to get a spoiled kitty used to new babies.

I realize I haven't updated my page for quite some time. Next Ultra Sound is tomorrow. I found out last week my glucose was 187. Normal is 60-139. So, I have been diagnosed w/ gestational diabetes. My doctor said it is normal to get with twins and I have to start checking my blood sugar after each meal. I go to the hospital for 2 hours of counseling on diet and how to check blood later this week. My doctor said that diet isn't the only reason this happens. I've been eating very healthy and only gained 4 pounds in the last 3 months. Whatever the measurement they do on my stomach went from 29 to 32. I was saying inches, but stomach isn't that big. I'll have to ask what scale that is.

I've been having a problem w/ my ankles swelling up pretty good and somtimes it is painful to walk. My doctor didn't seem too concerned, so I'm not worrying about it.

All together, I have no complaints. I'm just suffering normal things.
